Snakes and Ladders for Abortion (Cloth Game)

In collaboration with Rishita Nandagiri, we worked on an animated video series based on her PhD research and data collection in 2017 in Belgaum and Bagalkot districts, Karnataka, India.  During this process, an idea emerged of also creating a board game as a way to engage with a variety of audiences and create a space for awareness, education, discussions, deliberations, testimonies, and advocacy around managing unwanted pregnancies, preventing unsafe abortions, and accessing safe abortions.

The conceptualization of this was done by the ASAP staff team and we worked with Sumit Pawar to create the visual schema and production of the board game based on the well-known Snakes and Ladders game.
